Shortbread

When I arrived, I brought a box of shortbread.. as any good Scot arriving at the house of strangers. It was much enjoyed. Marina’s housekeeper asked if I had the recipe, so last Wednesday, when working from Marina’s house we decided to try.

I can safely report that it is possible to make shortbread in a hot climate with a recipe translated into US cups and bars of butter and for it still to turn out better than M&S boxes. A little thicker next time perhaps, but a reason to keep practising. A skill passed on!!
